Kidney stone breakage using laser technology is a medical procedure known as "laser lithotripsy." It is a minimally invasive method used to break up kidney stones into smaller fragments, making it easier for the body to pass them naturally through urine. The procedure is typically performed by a urologist, a doctor specializing in the urinary system.
A thin, flexible tube called a ureteroscope is inserted into the urinary tract. It may be passed through the urethra and bladder up into the ureter, which is the tube connecting the kidney to the bladder.
Laser application, Once the scope is in place, a laser fiber is passed through the scope and directed toward the kidney stones. The laser emits high-energy pulses that target the stones, breaking them into smaller fragments.
Multipulse Hoplus
MultiPulse Tm+1470
The wavelength of 1,940 nm is absorbed by water more than 1st generation Thulium at 2,010 or Holmium at 2,100 nm. To have a more significant coagulation effect, the MultiPulse Tm+1470 integrates a 1,470 nm Raman laser, which can be combined as desired in the same fiber optics.
When a greater coagulation effect is required, it is sufficient to change from “cutting-mode” to “coagulation-mode”, selecting the 1,470 nm wavelength only by pressing a different pedal.
The pedal control allows the surgeon to select the required mode without changing the laser fiber and without looking away from the operating field.
The continuous mode (CW), the MultiPulse Tm+1470 can work with pulsed emission in order to operate with maximum precision and delicacy, even in those areas that require “colder” action.
The MultiPulse Tm+1470 is a versatile and multi-disciplinary system, recommended for a wide range of applications in UROLOGY.
High Power Holmium Laser
The MultiPulse HoPLUS high power holmium laser is perfectly suited for surgical procedures including soft tissue & STONE TREATMENTS (LITHOTRIPSY).
All stones can be treated regardless of their hardness or composition. The MultiPulse HoPLUS enables the full spectrum of stone management techniques, both dusting and fragmentation.
First laser on the market with 100 Hz
Fast Vaporization and Cutting
Best hemostasis achievable with holmium laser thanks to longest pulses on the market
Ability to immediately remove the enucleated tissue with the Integrated Morcellator (optional)
Intuitive user interface
Dual pedals to select the required mode without looking away from the operating field, e.g. for cutting / coagulation, dusting / fragmentation
The MultiCut Solo
Is offered with the corresponding MultiCut handpiece and the MultiCut blade at a specific length of 350 or 400 mm. Additionally, the morcellation system includes a control module with a peristaltic pump, a holder for the tissue waste container and an optional wireless footswitch. Reusability is our priority, which is why we provide a cleaning set for our morcellator blades. Disposables are only used where they grant advantages regarding hygienic aspects as with the sterile aspiration tube sets and the tissue waste containers.
The surgeon can choose between three different aspiration levels. Moreover, the MultiCut Solo enables the user to adjust the rotation speed and the oscillation frequency of the morcellator blade according to the tissue consistency. The surgeon can choose between two different functions without looking away from the operation field. By choosing the yellow pedal of the foot switch, only aspiration is activated. With the blue pedal of the foot switch, the surgeon activates the aspiration and morcellation simultaneously.
MultiPulse HO
The wide range of multiple combinations of frequency and energy enables the urologist to choose the right setting for any treatment. High energy and low frequency are used for fast and rough fragmentation while low energy and high frequency settings allow stones dusting in so small Particles.
Treatment of urethral stricture, can now be quickly and effectively treated with holmium laser urethrotomy using the MultiPulse Ho.
